Akihabara at night

It’s one thing to read about Japanese popular culture in academic books, articles, and chapters; it’s entirely another thing to experience it first hand. There was a great balance of fan studies related activities and free time, so I was also able to visit some cultural sites of interest. In particular, visiting the Manga library in Kyoto and Akihabara in Tokyo were highlights. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to plan a trip like this on my own, because Lori took us to locations I never would have known about! Overall, 10/10, would go again![/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]
